Take charge of your water quality

The treatment of process water is an important building block in the process technology required for beverage production. Because water is not only a constituent used in producing numerous foods and beverages, but in most cases is required in the production process involved as well. With its Hydronomic water treatment systems, Krones offers a wide range of options for responsively efficacious treatment of your mains water.
The Hydronomic water treatment system provides a flexible concept that to suit the particular application concerned can operate with media filtration and/or membrane technology.
Media filtration uses activated carbon, gravel, special granulate or other materials to remove from the water unwanted contents like organic substances, iron, manganese, arsenic or uranium.
In membrane technology, depending on the particular application involved, two different methods are used:
Ultrafiltration is the most technologically sophisticated filtration process, able to remove bacteria, viruses and all undissolved substances from the water. But ultrafiltration does not change the mineral content. Reverse osmosis, by contrast, demineralises the water almost totally, leaving a residual content comprising one to five per cent of the original mineral content. Besides mash liquor or process water treatment, reverse osmosis can also be used for other applications.

enviro seal of approval for the Hydronomic water treatment system

Fließtext: The certification office of the technical inspectorate TÜV SÜD Industrie Service GmbH has tested and certified Krones’ Hydronomic water treatment system in accordance with the requirements of the enviro management concept. With enviro certification for the Hydronomic system, Krones is documenting the media/energy-efficiency and the eco-compatibility of its water treatment system. This is also the first independent certification of Krones’ water treatment system. This enviro certification by the technical inspectorate TÜV SÜD Industrie Service GmbH is another significant step forward for Krones in its long-term strategic thrust for premiering sustainable machines and lines.
