Packing in plastic crates or cartons – Linapac II

The Franconian Local Winegrowers Cooperative (GWF), headquartered in Kitzingen, is the biggest winegrowers cooperative in Franconia, and the fourth-largest nationwide. It operates a bottling line for one-litre bottles rated at 10,000 bph, and a Bocksbeutel line for 9,000 bph.
The Krones dry end offers options for fully automatic packing in cartons or 6-bottle plastic crates. At the Linapac II packer, a packing head magazine is installed above the infeed on a travelling carriage, enabling changeovers to be performed quickly and automatically. For the sensitive light-glass bottles, particularly gentle insertion into cartons and crates is required – a demand which the Linapac II has no trouble in meeting.
The Linapac II possesses a servomotor-driven twin-axis travelling unit, whose packing curve and cycle times can be programmed by the user. The movement curve programmed for each type of bottle is stored in memory, and can be retrieved at the touch of a button for each changeover routine. The entire machine is operated from a touch-screen.
The fully-automatic packing system Linapac II can be used as a packer and as an unpacker for a multitude of containers. The packer can be flexibly integrated into existing lines, and easily adjusted to different customer requirements for handling returnable and non-returnable bottles. Depending on the task, it has an output of up to 560 cycles per hour.
