PET bottles for household cleaners

The Hygiene Division of the Brazilian Friboi Group commissioned a complete bottling line from Krones for filling washing-up liquid in PET bottles.
The company has a total of 14 packaging lines up and running, three of them now for washing-up liquids. At first, two lines rated at 200 and 350 bpm respectively went into operation. For each of them, Krones supplied a Contiroll labeller for wrap-around labels. Another Contiroll and a Vinetta apply labels to fabric softeners and household cleaning products. Friboi´s Hygiene Division also got good service from the Blitzpac packer.
Steady growth meant it was soon necessary to upsize capacities. This time, in 2002, Friboi opted right from the start to single-source its new line, from Krones. This order covered a filler/closer, a labeller, a carton erector, container and pack conveyors, plus a packer.
Friboi produces its own PET bottles in an upstream single-stage process. As an alternative, a rotary stretch blow-moulder, such as the Contiform S, could be used for producing PET bottles. With its high performance, a Contiform S could centrally supply the filling lines for cleaning product with PET bottles.
