The software part of production

An overall IT solution for the production of beverages starts with the receipt of goods. The deliveries of raw materials and supplies accompanied by a dispatch note are collected via mobile data acquisition devices and specified bar codes that enable fast entering of the delivery-related data and immediate reconciliation of the warehouse stock. Order proposals that are automatically generated when the specified minimum stock is reached allow for prompt maintenance of the warehouse inventory. Based on the material master data for each product, the Krones IPP production planning system sends an order to the warehouse which then provides the requested raw materials and supplies.
For example, a formula with the clearly assigned basic material quantities is available for the production of lemonade as well as a material master with a defined bottle type, specific cap and appropriate label. The recipe system defines the production steps for the individual beverage. The exact timing of recipe control and production provides the product to the filler at the defined moment. In case of unavailability of any one of the materials, the filling order is automatically moved back on the daily production plan.
The Krones LDS operational data recording system monitors the individual measuring points and provides accurate information on the prevailing production conditions, so that deviations between target and actual values can be detected early and assessed for quality control.
