Maximised standard of hygiene at Coca Cola Manaus

Coca-Cola Manaus has placed an order with Krones for a complete 60,000-bph returnables line for 290-ml glass bottles. The line incorporates a Contiflow mixer and a Mecafill VKP filler fitted with the innovative Raptec quick-change handling parts, a system characterised by its operator-friendliness. Thanks to the low weight of the handling parts and the ergonomically improved lock mechanisms, it meets all modern workplace requirements. With their open structure, these redesigned handling parts also score in terms of easy cleaning.
Furthermore, the Brazilian bottler has opted for a Lavatec KD bottle washer. This bottle washer incorporates the innovative Clean-Design rear end that ensures bottle cleaning under optimal hygienic conditions. The  machine features a completely redesigned post-treatment zone with dirt lock and improved hygiene standard, reducing the costs for chemicals as the interval between changes of the caustic solution can be extended. The selection of the materials are also a tribute to the notion of Clean Design.
When it comes to loading and unloading, the Brazilian company also opts for Krones. A Blitzpac packer and unpacker handle the returnable bottles, and a Robot 3A palletiser and depalletiser ensure a fast flow of both full and empty containers.
One fresh addition to Krones’ product portfolio is the Modulpal single-column palletiser, which supersedes a majority of the Pressant and Robot ranges. The Modulpal family utilises robot technology and is equipped with servo-drive systems in all functional areas. Thanks to its flexibly selectable gripper systems, this new series of palletiser meets all the requirements involved for versatility in coping with new-style jobs. Depending on the version concerned, the output is up to 600 layers an hour.
