Economically difficult times such as these accentuate the importance of maintaining good relationships with customers, suppliers, employees, and shareholders. Mutual trust between all business partners is essential to any company’s long-term success. That is why the Executive Board has always placed great importance on developing and implementing long-term strategies geared toward sustainability. It is also why the company’s most important goal for 2009 was to maintain its core workforce and avoid layoffs.
