Krones has a policy of open communication

Viable solutions for doing business sustainably can only be found through dialogue with all stakeholder groups. Our stakeholders include employees, shareholders, customers, suppliers, government agencies, politicians, trade associations, non-governmental organisations (NGOs), scientists and academics, and the general public. We are committed to a proactive, frank and open information policy. Dialogue strengthens mutual understanding between Krones and its partners and at the same time makes a vital contribution to risk management.

Direct contacts are extremely important in this context. For this reason, we organise a variety of events worldwide each year, ranging from »Open Days« to round-table discussions with stakeholder groups to participation in international initiatives. In addition, we hold a »Training Day« at our plants in Neutraubling and Nittenau, Germany, every year. Beginning in October 2009, we now offer company tours to our staff and their families on a bimonthly basis so that our employees can show their families their workplace.

The results of the ongoing dialogue are impressive. For example, it was in dialogue with customers and investors that the idea of presenting our corporate citizenship efforts openly in an annual sustainability report and having that report certified by an independent institution (TÜV SÜD) came into being. Likewise, our enviro programme for sustainable products has been shaped in dialogue with customers from its very beginnings.
