For some years now, Krones has been providing financial support for an organisation called »Zweites Leben e. V.« (“Second Life”), which looks after people who are suffering from the effects of a stroke or skull/brain injuries.
Krones AG also regards support for universities as an important contribution to society. As a patron of the Regensburg University Foundation, for example, the company supports the local university at various events and promotes cultural exchanges between the students.

In 2008, once again, one of the major cultural highlights was the classical concert sponsored by Krones. It was held not in a conventional concert hall, but on the shop-floor of a Krones factory.

Around the world
In the future, Krones will be significantly increasing its international involvement, especially in developing nations. Besides the »usual« donations to charitable organisations, the company has decided to provide substantial long-term support to the charitable foundation Water for the World.

In its role as a corporate sponsor, Krones supports projects all over the world that give people in developing countries access to clean drinking water. Water they need for drinking, cooking, and washing and for irrigating their fields. Our guiding principles here are sustainability and helping people help themselves. We concentrate our support on rural projects and ensure that they actually benefit families, women, and children. We also invest in education and training, so that people can take charge of their own water supply.

Krones also supports the Dhulikhel Hospital in Nepal, 30 km northeast of the nation’s capital Kathmandu. Krones was involved in the hospital’s expansion, which has made it possible for the country’s largely poor population to receive treatment in this outstanding hospital.
